LOVE & LOSS.

The beginning of 2025 has already left everyone with so much emotion.
I’m thinking about Los Angeles, the home that I love, and all the terrible loss from the fires; David Lynch, who has been such an immense creative inspiration to our generation; and another great loss I haven’t shared yet publicly.

I originally created this drawing when I was losing my muse and soulmate, Blackie the Cat. I felt it appropriate to share this morning.

Just found this drawing I did 5 years ago while having breakfast at Canters! I drew my mom working behind the counter and my dad who would pick her up everyday.

For those that don’t know, my mother Naomi worked in the bakery at Canter’s for 35 years.

Our hearts go out to anyone who has lost their homes, possessions, or been displaced.
Thank you to the Firefighters and all the volunteers who are helping those in need.

We are a magical city where everyone comes to make their dream come true.
We will heal and rebuild.

Crazy winds and downed trees. It felt surreal.

I’m praying for all the families who are caught in the fires. So much loss. Please be safe.

Many Lives of Blackie the Cat!

These flags were from, NINE LIVES, my 3600 sq ft Solo Exhibition in Beijing China at Wrong Gallery in the 798 Art District.
This immersive exhibition celebrated the Life & Teachings of Blackie the Cat, through painting, drawing, sculpture, video, art installation, and sound. My goal was to create an Art Experience for those who have never known Blackie the Cat to create a true emotional attachment.

And this week BLACKIE THE CAT’s story book, MIGHTY PAW, is now physically in our hands (or paws) and ready to share to the world! We’re excited to expand his universe with this important story on how to DEFY HATE!

SPIRITS & ANIMALS.
I re-read my post from the start of 2020 about how in 2019, I was developing a stronger connection between Spirits & Animals.
I’ve always had an intuitive connection with all animals, of course, especially Blackie the Cat back then, and again with Bosko.
But this convergence of Spirits, Passed Souls & animal creatures is off the charts now with me. I’ve always believed in Energy but I have truly felt life sources of those who have passed stronger than ever before, in a way, I feel I’m being challenged.
Celebrating the Darkness and the Beauty through the gift of my art. Here are some drawings from just my 2019 travels that embraced my love for animals and spirits.

Blackie the Cat agreed to share this important story with humanity about the Age of the Great Hate between the Black Cats & Red Elifants- just in time to help Humankind understand how to resolve conflict to find world peace.

Blackie the Cat (2003-2020) was my longtime creative collaborator and feline companion. Blackie the Cat co-created The Purr Room, a sound bath installation that features his triple purr, that took place in the USA, Uk, and China. Even though Blackie could be a feisty cat, he was a big advocate of Love & Peace!

and my drawing is of my Childhood Plush, Jungle Boogie!!
Normally, we are supposed to CHARM snakes, but Boogie is naturally charming.

Let’s hope 2025 will be a CHARMING YEAR,
full of wisdom, cunning, and adaptability!!
