Baseman Family
Gary Baseman is the youngest of four children and the first born in the United States to Ben and Naomi Baseman. Growing up in Hollywood (specifically the Fairfax district of Los Angeles) surrounded by Holocaust survivors and their families, he gained much from the community and creativity that surrounded him. When his parents passed in 2010 and 2011, Baseman became the family historian, and traced his roots back to Eastern Europe seeking veritas (truth) of history. Exhibitions Walking through Walls and The Door is Always Open prominently feature the Baseman family.
