A Moment Ago Everything Was Beautiful

Moments are fleeting. Baseman created his first museum installation by the creation of his magis, who resemble ghosts, klansmans, spirits. These figures which can be found in a number of his paintings are presented in three dimensions. These magis move through Mr. Baseman’s surreal landscapes as reminders of memories that live inside us. Manifestations of desire circle and bubble around us.  Memories.
