Venice Family Clinic at 50

Artist Gary Baseman is joining the 2020 Venice Art Walk Benefit Auction featuring over 150 works by recognized contemporary artists including John Baldessari, Joseph Beuys, and Louise Bourgeois among others.

For this auction, Baseman has donated an artwork featuring Baseman’s inseparable companion, collaborator, and continuous inspiration, Blackie the Cat. Created in conjunction with The Purr Room, an immersive art installation featuring Blackie the Cat’s meditative triple purr, this image reminds the viewer of the transformative power of mindfulness during these challenging times.

Auction proceeds will provide vital health care to nearly 28,000 low-income, uninsured and homeless patients in Los Angeles.
