Live Art Auction to Benefit Black Lives Matter

UPDATE: Auction is closed. The funds raised with the sales of these three original drawings by Gary Baseman directly benefit organizations that support the Black Lives Matter movement. Thanks again to all Baseman fans for your generosity and support promoting this fundraiser.

Starting today at 9am PDT and for the next 24 hours, artist Gary Baseman is auctioning three original drawings through his Instagram account. All proceeds will benefit equally the following organizations: Black Lives Matter Los Angeles, Campaign Zero, and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

These three color pencil drawings reflect on the events and protests that have taken place nationwide in the last few weeks. Baseman, like so many other Americans, has taken the streets to demand justice and stand in defense of Black lives.

Head to @garybaseman and place your bid directly on the post of the drawing that you’d like to acquire. Your contribution will support raising funds for the advancement and effort to end police violence, protect our rights to protest and vote, ensure equal access to education and employment, and fight systemic inequalities that continue to plague America.
