KCET’s ARTBOUND director receives an Emmy nomination for his work on Gary Baseman and Me: Critique, Correspondence and Collaboration in the Art World
Burbank, CA – June 19, 2014 – KCET, a service of national independent public digital and broadcast network KCETLink, is proud to announce that it has received nine nominations for Los Angeles Area Emmy® Awards by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
The station’s nominations include six for its flagship weekly local news magazine, SOCAL CONNECTED; one for KCET’s ARTBOUND special Invisible Cities: Opera for Headphones, for which KCET explored the creative process behind the experimental opera; one for the 54th annual L.A. COUNTY HOLIDAY CELEBRATION, produced by KCET in partnership with the L.A. County Arts Commission and CDK Productions; and another for KCET’s ARTBOUND director Bruce Dickson for his work on Gary Baseman and Me: Critique, Correspondence and Collaboration in the Art World.
The local Emmy® Awards will be presented at the 66th Los Angeles Area Emmys ceremony on July 26, 2014, at the Television Academy’s Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre.
