Dance, dance! It’s Spring

Today we celebrate the dance and music projects that we’ve done for over 15 years, highlighting La Sirena that showcased in Mexico City in February 2016. Amazing that this was only performed once in public, but we remember it fondly and hope to resurrect it in the future.

The video stills of the mermaid and skeleton tell the story of love and longing. La Sirena rips out the skeleton’s heart to the tune of “Heroes” by David Bowie. The legendary cultural icon had just passed the month before this performance, so Baseman paid tribute to him––celebrating as he always does the beauty of the bittersweetness of life.

La Sirena was part of the launch of Baseman’s special decanter for 1800 Tequila.
