Baseman’s Art is Moby’s VICE

Multifaceted American artist Moby shared with VICE news what he describes as his “anodyne” vices, including his taste in art. Surrounded by Gary Baseman’s characters, including Toby, Hump-Qee, and ChouChou, and a painting by Mark Ryden, Moby has collected art as “a way to leave, banal shitty at times malignant reality.” Check out the full segment here:

Moby and Baseman share a long-term collaborative friendship. Through Moby’s vegan restaurant Little Pine, Baseman donated a drawing to benefit animal rights organizations.
